PILLARS and GOALS

There are several things that make Flow Fitness what it is, they are the pillars we stand on and are the heart of our business. 

 

True health is the base of my business - not weight loss, not muscle gain -but focusing on the body holistically and tuning into what the body needs! We have a stellar referral system in place for when you may need more help than I can personally offer. We work closely with Physical Therapists, Pelvic Floor Specialists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Mental Health Clinicians and more. â€‹

 

True Health is achieved when family is involved and supportive. Family is huge for me, and providing a space where busy families can come workout is vital for me. Your families, children included, are always welcome in the gym. You will often share the space with my son, JJ, as he comes to work with me frequently! Currently, I train multiple families where 3 generations come to see me each week- and there is nothing more special to me than that!

My training philosophy, and the motto of our training program is Lifting for Longevity. We focus on providing safe, effective, and functional workouts that help train your body to move the way it was biologically designed to, and enable you to be better, stronger and more mobile for as long as possible. We incorporate aspects of plyometrics, strength training, balance drills, coordination drills, single sided exercises, mobility work and so much more to give you a comprehensive training program.

My goals for my clients: 

- Help give you more confidence in yourself in and out of the gym

- Help you learn to enjoy exercising (it is possible!)

- Help guide you in your health journey

- Be someone to turn to with health-related questions

-Be able to refer you to other practitioners who can also help guide you on your health journey

MY BACKGROUND & STORY

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2017 with a BS in Health & Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. Just prior to graduating, I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and have since become an ACE Certified Behavior Change Specialist as well.  My fitness experience ranges from big box gym settings, to smaller boutique style fitness studios, to Physical Therapy clinics. I honestly knew there was something more out there for me, but I was not sure exactly what it was or how to get there. Working in these fitness settings showed me the disconnect between commercial fitness, and true health. I wanted to make people healthier at all levels, and I was unable to do that in these spaces. 

 

In 2018, I was moved to start my own business providing in-home & on-site personal training, as well as small group training. My goal was to take the fear out of stepping into a gym (we have all been there!) and give people the confidence to move their bodies in a place where they felt comfortable, as well as working towards the goal of providing people with true health.

In the beginning of 2020, I was fired from my job in a Physical Therapy clinic due to the pandemic, and I simultaneously took a giant leap of faith and dropped out of PTA school to pursue my Personal Training business full time. With the help of my husband, we converted our entire garage into a gym and it has truly become a magical place. I love sharing this space with people who are looking to maximize their health through movement! Movement is medicine, and we stand by our motto of "Lifting for Longevity"- everything we do in the gym is to help you live a better, stronger, healthier life today, tomorrow and for many years to come.

Meet Hailey

Hailey is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is also in Nursing School. Hailey emulates the heart and soul of our missions and motto flawlessly. She is fun, energetic, engaging and genuinely has fine tuned the art of Personal Training at a young age. Hailey coaches both group classes and one on one sessions throughout the week! If you train with Hailey, there is a good chance you will also meet her puppy Otis, who loves to be a gym dog! We absolutely adore Hailey (and Otis!) and are so happy to have her on our coaching team!
